Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with the Dell AC511 USB Wired SoundBar by Justin Buck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprisingly not bad for such a price.

Some context. I wanted to replace my inexpensive Logitech 2.1 system with something less cluttered. I don't really need powerful sound for my office computer, and if I want better sound quality, I switch to headphones. Luckily my P2715Q was listed as compatible with this speaker. but actually not bad at all. It's significantly lower quality than the 2.1 system it replaces, as you'd expect considering it costs half as much and is probably 1/5th of its overall size, but it's more than enough for normal activities. It's by no means a great system. , but it's very impressive for the money, and it tucked my cords away significantly both above and below the table. It also has the nice side effect of covering up the cables your monitor already has. It's pretty well thought out. I love that it has its own analog volume control on the right side as there aren't really any dedicated audio keys/buttons on my keyboard and while my headphones are wireless I can see the benefit of the headphone jacks on the other side. I gave him 5 stars. because of cost, not sheer performance. You're still better off with the larger, more expensive 2.1 if you value quality audio. I've included photos of my setup so you can see how it fits or doesn't fit.

Pros
  • Built-in USB provides digital audio and power to the soundbar
Cons
  • Not sure
