Review on Sta Lube General Purpose Lithium Grease by Aaron Fowler

Most general purpose lithium greases are colored white and use titanium dioxide (a varnish ingredient) and zinc oxide (a sunscreen ingredient) as pigments. They also dry out and crumble after a few weeks or months. Sta-Lube SL3311 is naturally amber in color and appears to match exactly what auto manufacturers use for fasteners, rails and other low stress applications. Rated NLGI#2 - "peanut butter" consistency - it actually feels thinner, more like NLGI#1.5, which is good for light applications. Easy to apply with a brush, swab or fingertip.
