Review on 50 Pieces SYBL 16mm Round Black Transparent Safety Eyes - Plastic 3D Eyes for DIY Toy Teddy Bear Puppet Doll Making Craft - Supply and Accessories by Amber Perez

I bought this set of 50 clear safety eyes at a very reasonable price with free shipping so I wasn't expecting super high quality. The eyes were stuffed with a pouch, they moved relative to each other and scratched. No big deal: Future Lightweight (Pledge brand acrylic floor wax) takes care of it. A slightly bigger problem is that the opaque black "irises" aren't centered on the clear plastic. Also, it's not that big of a deal: just pay attention and it can add character to your project. But the biggest problem is that the eyes were mechanically broken (rather than cut off) from the sprues. Transparent plastic becomes opaque white from microcracks, and this color extends under the curved surface (into the eye itself). I selected the eyes with the least amount of damage and was able to trim off the excess plastic with the Xuron cutters and then sand and polish the plastic (I used Micro-Mark sharpening rods, ranging from medium grit to ultrafine/12000). and then covered with Future to bring back the shine but I had to smooth out the outer curve and now the eyes aren't quite round. It's a /very/ subtle detail that I don't think most people will notice, but it took some work and time. So if you're a pro and don't have apprentices doing it for you, I'd recommend paying extra. for better eye quality.
