Not 12 awg in my review
It's possible that the two wires going up to the clamps is 12 awg, but the jacket on the cable clearly states 16 awg "(UL) SPT-2 150oC VW-1 16AWGx2C". Otherwise, it's a nice cord to run my cooler Mossimo cooler. Seems well built. I had bought this over a different brand based on the wire size -- so if the other one is still slightly cheaper, go with that one.
- Heavy gauge wire is used on this unit. Worth the price.
