Worked right away with my 5-10(?) year old Samsung TV without setup. The Hulu, Netflix, and Revain Prime buttons work flawlessly. I realized the other day that one feature that doesn't work is the volume. The volume works, but on my other remotes you can hold down the volume button and it quickly increases or decreases, and on this remote, holding down the volume button adjusts the volume by 1. My TV's volume is 0-100 scale, so it can be a little annoying when you have to toggle the volume on or off and have to click the volume 20-30 times to get it back to where you want it.
