As noted by Brian H. the air intake hose will not fit so discard the hose from the old unit. Not as quiet as the original, but not gross either. The block is all black, not like the photo, and all metal. Not a cheap plastic fan. All in all I am satisfied with the device. Buick Century owners, brace yourself and make sure you have a 5.5mm socket and a U-joint or flexible extension or you won't be able to unscrew the rearmost nut. It would be better if you buy replacement clips for the molded plate that needs to be removed to access the blower. Trying to reinstall the originals doesn't work. When removed, they deform. Your local auto parts store most likely has replacement parts in stock.
