Please listen to me. I've studied all the high tables that are there. These are the very expensive ones, the ones at Costco, the ones at Walmart, and the ones that bug you with relentless Facebook Marketplace ads. I read articles on Wired and in NYT. I did this for about two months. Basically, I fell off a bar table and it took me eight weeks to crawl out. Simply put, these are the bar table legs you want to buy. I could go into detail about the smoothness, the speed, the possibility of programming a specific table height. I could talk to you about the advantages of a dual motor table over a single motor work table. I could even talk to you about the need to check the quality of welds and the grade of steel used in construction. But I don't want to do all that. I just want to make it easy for you and say that you should choose these legs for bar tables. I bought these legs from Revain and a used desktop from FB Marketplace. This is an 80" x 30" countertop. All in all it cost me about $375. A few tips: Choose a solid desktop. I find it better to have something heavier to increase strength and stability. Also select something from the tree array. You don't want to risk having your desktop hacked. I've seen a lot of people say they bought a Home Depot meat block. This is probably what I would do if I did it again. When assembling the desktop, use the free interpretation of the instructions. They're not perfect, but the build itself is pretty logical if you take a step back. I'd say don't screw in your electronics until you've got everything set up. UPDATE: I've been working from home full time for about a year and I use this desk. It still works great. A word of caution, stick to the owner's manual. You need it to decode the random error code. I would definitely have preferred a countertop that was a little more original, like a butcher block or an old countertop. While it's cool, my setup looks pretty versatile.
