Review on Wireless headphones Sony WH-1000XM3, silver by Jnis Gailis ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Quite good, but I expected more from it.

The weak ear cushions are unable to counteract the bow's apparent attempt to crush the skull. The head begins to hurt severely a few hours later. Long-term music listening becomes agonizing when compared to the same MDR-1A. The aptxHD codec, and when linked to a laptop - xs what, the music begins to stutter about once or twice every hour, but nothing changes. And it makes no difference whether you're standing outside, going down the street, or sitting in an office. I used the identical MDR-1A via Bluetooth DAC FIIO btr1 for comparison, which supports a maximum of standard aptx and never encountered any playing issues. It is completely absurd to change the setting from high quality to a steady connection when everything are okay because you purchase headphones for $25,000 to listen to music in high quality, not the other way around. Without music playing, the noise reduction simply presses on the membranes, which is also uncomfortable, rather than creating a sense of isolation. However, the sounds are perfectly muffled. Moreover, the center frequencies are muted when listening to music. Convenient cases, extras, and other things are undoubtedly wonderful, but I initially purchase a device, not extras. In general, I'm seriously considering returning these headphones. If I did, I would gladly buy wireless headphones that are just as comfortable as the MDR-1A. If someone could offer me some recommendations, I'd be grateful.

Pros
  • amazing sound, practically perfect noise isolation (but there is BUT)
Cons
  • unpleasant to the extreme. terrible call quality
