I have a Samsung T5 SSD in my case - the cables don't fit, I'm using the stock cables

I read a guy's review that he pushes/bends the two cables that come with the kit In that case, the guy's name could be Copperfield. Has anyone seen one of the falls that is slightly larger? I'm worried that going to a larger package will negate the protection a drive offers in a small package? I think a few more cables in the bag, almost need a separate cable bag!
