There was a PVC leak in the joint that would have required some odd cutting and reassembly of the pipe. It wasn't difficult for the price, but it had to work. There is water pressure from the sump pump on the PVC line, but not too much. The material has a silver metal base and can be cut to any size (sharp blade/knife recommended). For our project, we cut the tape in half lengthwise and sealed the leak twice, just in case. It holds up and is still unreleased, a great product for projects like this. I see this tape being used in almost any area where a strong seal is required, it is very tacky and adheres well.
