Took a chance and purchased this item for a snowboarding trip. I wasn't sure if I would need it or not, but it turns out that the day we went snowboarding, it snowed really hard. I initially went without it for the first couple of hours, but once I put it on, I was really surprised at how much of a difference it made. Would highly recommend this product for anyone seeking additional protection for your face from the cold.
