This product is working. For operation, the device must first be connected to the network. Bypassing your phone's power supply isn't a nice convenience to charge your iPhone while using the device, it's actually an absolutely necessary power source for the device adapter itself. So plug in the power first, then everything else and the device should work. The quality was a little below average, but doable. Haven't had it long enough to give a longevity rating, but it's working now.
