Small tin threaders have been used to sew small repair buttons onto clothing for many years. There were always problems with threading the right thread. This is better than the tin version as I'm a man with big hands. Red plastic makes it easier to hold. Just as easy to use. Gently push the end of the thin metal through the hole in the needle. Then the thread goes through the end of the thin wire. Be sure to pull the thread a few inches and let it hang near the other end of the spool. Pinch both pieces of thread together and GENTLY pull the needle forward on the end of the wire until both ends of the thread are hanging down. You get a needle and thread. Pull the shorter end of the thread to make it longer. It's that easy! The other day I watched my 59-year-old wife try to thread a needle. After 5 minutes of their unsuccessful attempts I bought back my old sheet metal version. Showed her how easy it is to thread the needles. Bought these 3 packs which last longer than me. The trick with this, or any other needle threader, is to pull gently. Otherwise you can pull the wire out of the plastic piece.
