That's "normal " for the price.

Very easy to assemble, just as easy to detach from the caterpillar or tip with the mother fish. Here was my electric yellow, it can be 2 to 3 inches long. She accidentally dropped one of her fry and couldn't reach it. I woke up the next morning to find this when the bottom screen came off the track and tilted forward like a swing. It works with dignity, when it detaches from the suction cups it does not float. Keep an eye on your breeder when purchasing one.
