Well the negative reviews were right. This extension just died for no reason after less than 3 months of use. Big fat waste of money. I had to pay attention to the reviews and save money and nerves. Original Review: I was a little apprehensive after reading the horribly bad reviews of this surge protector. However, I liked the longer cord option (I had an 8-foot cord) and six outlets with a light switch. I had no problems at all with this strip. Everything connects securely and everything works as it should. The band does not get hot during use even when fully charged. I've only had it a month, so I can't comment on durability. I've deducted a star for now because while the surge protector is working great for me at the moment, it's important to know how it will perform over time. I'll update it in a few months and if it's still working properly please add the last star. If I have problems with the network filter, I will of course get back to you and let you know. At the moment I am very happy with it and have no problems with it at all.
