When I bought a 720p camera for my Mac I was looking for a camera that would provide crystal clear images AND no motion lag relative to the sound. I've found that most HD cameras (720p or higher) can deliver a sharp image while you're not moving or speaking - with a fraction of a second to over a second delay in moving (like speaking). This camera almost meets both of these requirements - it gives a sharp picture, adapts well to bright days (but not too bright when the sun is shining, you have to draw the curtains so that there is no blurry picture, dark rooms and night) . Skype handles very, very well and handles movement fairly well but is by no means perfect and has a lag of about 1/5 second or so which you'll notice if you pay attention, but at least it's not very annoying (let's say , when I have a miniDV camera connected to my computer which I can't always use as a solution as it only transmits when the tape is moving during recording, there is no noticeable lag.). Physically the camera is well built, with a very nice plastic "door"/cover that can be attached, as well as a nice blue LED bezel that turns on when the software is using it. Or you can leave it on the table.
