Pros - Adorable, definitely rustic/country chic, fabric is soft and the bodice fit is perfect.Cons - These straps aren't worth a hill of beans.My daughter loves this dress - begged to wear it the moment I pulled it out of the Best Buy box. It's definitely true to size, and I'd say if this is being purchased for a smaller child, you could stand to go down a size or simply dart the seams under the arms for a snug fit. Since the neckline is a V, it has a tendency to plunge, which may present problems for a smaller child.The original straps that come on the dress are braids, and are so cute in theory - maybe its pleather? I don't know - but just useless in execution. Within a few hours they came unbraided and, eventually, fell out entirely. I ended up removing them after the first wear and replacing them with ribbon instead, but nonetheless the craftsmanship should be better given that the rest of the dress has held up well. Overall, three stars, since the straps really annoyed me.
