I was very happy to buy these as a gift for myself.

I was very excited to buy them as a birthday gift for my husband (nostalgic game duels and so on) and had high hopes. The packaging was perfect and both controllers look great. However, the white controller doesn't turn on or charge at all, so we spent $35 on a controller that can be bought anywhere for a lot less. I'd rather just replace the broken one but I don't see an option for that so it looks like we're just going to return the whole package.
