Very VERY thin plastic. Nice print - the design goes well with the rest of the HP decor. Plastic breaks easily. Fortunately, once we realized how incredibly thin the tablecloth was, we placed the tablecloth UNDER the glass top, not on top of it. For that reason it did nothing to protect the table from spills or crumbs, but it could be displayed nicely at a party and wasn't easy to tear apart (except for the sides as they hung down and snagged on anything and everything could close what came).
