Review on Baofeng UV-5R Green Radio by Kiril Penchev ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

BAOFENG UV-5R is not a bad product overall. It's decent as the first radio station and for those who are not picky about a reliable, consistent connection to a connection of medium quality. The only significant drawbacks are that you must manually setup it using a computer and firmware cable because it lacks noise reduction out of the box. Additionally, since the modulation is faint on the air, you must talk more clearly and up close. also create your own! Perhaps this is not a con for everyone. The disadvantages for me personally are that this is crucial for regular contact.

Pros
  • in terms of value for money and quality. two separate frequency ranges, 136-174 MHz and 400-520 MHz. The range is very nice. About 1.5–3 kilometers separate the two radio stations in the city. depends on how the area has been developed urbanly.
Cons
  • A tiny gap can be seen where the typical antenna is connected. The noise reduction is factory-set to ty, and there are several interferences and instances where it "puffs up somewhere." It would be fantastic if the noise reduction performed as expected. Despite the fact that this RDA 1846 chip performs direct conversion. Not a "superheterodyne" Modulation makes a soft sound like many "baofengs" do. I must talk more loudly and closely! Alternately, make it your own! This is a serious flaw.
