Review on Wagner Spraytech Elite Steamer: Unleash The Power Of Chemical-Free Steam Cleaning With 20 Multi-Purpose Accessories by Adam Hutchinson

A must have for Jacuzzi tubs, buy lots of microfiber cloth though.

I spent so much time analyzing and comparing power steamers online and eventually came to the conclusion that this would be the best bang for my buck. I have about 700 sq ft of tile with white grout and 3 bathrooms. Professional steam cleaning was going to cost way more than this machine. I've used it about 3 times so far, and here are my personal experiences:Pros:Blasts away dirt in hard to clean places. I had no idea how much gunk was caked up around the jets of my master bathroom tub. This makes me feel much better about taking a bath and washing my toddler in a tub cleaned without harsh chemicals.Less elbow grease needed. I was grateful not to have to "scrub," my baseboards and cabinets. Steam did a lot of the work for me.No chemicals needed for the shower stall or glass door. The squeegee tool makes cleaning shower doors a breeze. My mirrors were a little more complicated since I haven't mastered the quickness of flawlessly wiping the wetness with the squeegee tool so it did leave spots and streaks.Beats paying a pro to come and charge $$$.Cons:This review is 4 stars because of the fact that there is no water level indicator. At first I really thought this would not be a big deal, but it is definitely a design flaw and heeds the use time between jobs. When the machine needs a break to steam up, the indicator light comes on, but otherwise, how do you know if it's running out of water? You can't simply uncap the tank and check because it is extremely too hot and boiling steam and water pops out and burns anyone within 5 feet. So this means you can steam clean for a little while but when the handle becomes too hot or the light comes on too often, it's probably time for a break. That means you have to let it sit for a while (20 mins or more) before you can uncap, fill, steam back up and go. By all that time, I have found another way to get my chores done and over with. This machine requires a lot of time management if you plan on doing all your steam work in one day.The scrubber brush gets used up and gross pretty quick. I suppose I'll have to investigate buying new ones since they're not listed on Walmart as stand alone items. There is no on board storage for the accessories or the hose. I had to put everything in a bag to keep it all together. My husband kept moving the funnel around the house and I had to keep an eye on it to keep it from getting lost under the sofa like everything else. You should at least be able to wrap the hose around it like a canister vacuum. The handle really does get to hot to hold after a while. Cleaning with a pot-holder is not efficient, but necessary with this product. The machine needs time to create more steam more often than you would think. 45 minutes of steam time is not continuous. When the light comes on you have to stop what you're doing and find something else to do until its green again. Again, I didn't think this would be a big deal, but it is pretty annoying. 45 minutes of steam power is not a correct indication of anything. It took about an hour and a half to clean my bathroom and there was still water in my machine when I was done. How much? I have no idea, but the handle was too hot to keep it going and the light was coming on a lot, so I just stopped and gave it a break. I would say you can squeeze the trigger and get steam for about 3-5 minutes at a time max before the red light comes on.Way too hot and time consuming to use with children around. I had to get my mom to babysit in order to get things done. It's also not a replacement item for a steam mop. I use the shark steam mop for my floor tile, since this machine needs too many time-outs.Overall, I find that I do NEED this machine to clean those nasty hard to get to areas and use less chemicals in my house. I don't regret my purchase at all since there is no flawless power steamer of this caliber on the market right now, but it's not worth 5 stars. I also recommend buying lots of microfiber cloths to wipe up the wet grime as you go. Regular cloths don't grab it all as well.
