I needed a good reliable charger for my project car which I drive occasionally. My car uses an Optima Red Top battery which is an AGM battery so finding a charger capable of charging and servicing AGM batteries was important to me and this one had it. Most other AGM battery chargers are VERY expensive so I decided to try this one and it works great. I had an old Optima Red Top battery that was running out of juice and used it to see how well it worked and it was able to charge it fairly well. Spring. The battery level on the device itself is very accurate as it showed that the old battery's battery level was lower than when it was connected to the new AGM battery. The quality is quite good and the charger makes a solid impression. I've had other cheaper ones that looked pretty questionable in quality and I would never risk them sitting next to my car that I've been working on for hours. I wish they had added a fuse to the clamps, but I was able to fix that by buying a pair of fuse clamps. All in all a very good reliable charger, I recommend it!
