Review on Macally Computer Wired Keyboard Apple by Victor Kakaruk

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything went wrong after 1 day / Customer service was great

Update: Macally customer service took care of everything politely and quickly. Very good problem solving experience. Original: Caps Lock Light went out in less than 1 day. At the start of the second day, keyboard input just stopped. No keystrokes are registered. Plugging and unplugging fixed these issues, but after a few minutes it started working again. Both of these things happen regardless of whether it is connected to the computer directly (the new Mac Mini) or via a hub. Contact CS to see what they can do. It's also a poor replacement for Apple's original wired extended keyboard, which unfortunately Apple no longer makes. Keystrokes are longer and require more force, and the whole thing flexes and vibrates as you type. The biggest problem, however, is the position and size of the keys to the left of the space bar. As a right-handed person who uses my left hand for many keyboard shortcuts (while the right operates the mouse), the tiny command key, the shortened spacebar, and the superfluous and huge function key as a fourth key in this area add up to a total mess. these actions. If you work in Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign and keyboard shortcuts are as important to you as they are to me, this will totally confuse you, especially if you have big hands.

Pros
  • Keyboards, mice and accessories
Cons
  • Good but not great
