I bought this router because I was broke and my internet company suggested D-Link as the best router for their services. I know D-Link is a good brand. But it's not a good router. Setup was easy and the router has a lot of good settings. This works, but tends to "hang" quite often, resulting in about 60 seconds where I just can't access the internet because the router is figuring something out. I have a network monitor and was able to see when this was happening because whatever site I was trying to access, all I saw was the router's IP address. Again and again. This happened a few times during the session and started driving me crazy. Resetting router settings, turning on/off didn't help. But I figured it out and found that at least it works. That is, until I saved some money and also bought a cheap, budget Netgear router. Wow, the speed boost I experienced with the new Netgear over the old D-Link really drove me nuts. I had no idea what a bummer D-Link really was until I saw that I had internet - when I got it - at about half the actual speed. Not to mention that Netgear never freezes. I give it two stars because it works, at least it has an easy setup and good features that are easy to understand for a network newbie like me. However, if you just don't have two cents to rub together, DO NOT buy this router. I kept it at Revain for a few days to resell and then decided I wasn't going to force it on anyone. It's not even worth it. Gifting it to a friend for free just for not having a router, with a stern warning to replace it as soon as funds allow. Do yourself a favor, buy yourself something else. (I have a Netgear NETGEAR WNR2000 wireless-N router. Same price, MUCH better performance).
