Dangerous for pets!
Do not buy this item if you have pets! This caused a lot of irritation in both my dog (Lab) and my cat. Nobody has ever had a reaction to anything else. The dog had to be given an injection of antibiotics and steroid pills to treat the irritation and inflammation. In addition, many others noted precisely the unnecessarily strong and unpleasant smell of the product. The terribly wrong and chemical smell of this material cannot be overestimated. Don't buy this crap. Whatever your carpet smells at the moment, it's better than what that stuff is going to do to your home.
