Should be as bright as the original. There was a p-vip imprint on the lamp. The original lamp, which lasted about 1500 hours, had a luminous flux of 33 lumens. Swapping out for this bulb and measuring in exactly the same way after a good warm up time was about 14 lumens LESS! I bought an original Epson lamp. Did the exact same test and found it to be 5 lumens brighter than the original 1500 hour lamp. This lamp came from Epson and was original. There are good prices for this original lamp, you just have to look. By the way, I couldn't find it on am***, p-vip has NO stamp on the original. The phone app was used for testing.
