I don't mind lugging around an extra pound if it means lightweight components can be upgraded to something that actually works. Who the heck doesn't have USB-A ports? JFC. Every time I did this, the entire folder was updated. And it lasted a good 10 seconds. EVERY TIME. What, that's 1997? Do I have a ZIP drive to pull these images from? Do it better.
