I'm a seamstress and I love these scissors for thread trimming. They are easy to control where they go and the cutting length is perfect so there are no mistakes like cutting thin material (which I have done before with various small scissors and was very expensive for the budget). I used this for seam rips as it has sharp points and can get into some tight spots, again without cutting the fabric like seam rippers do. I'm getting older too and my hands can easily hold them and work without stressing my joints. This is highly recommended for people with arthritis. The rainbow finish is the icing on the cake for me.
