A few tricks you should know

I wish this shape had a larger diameter. I make candles with beeswax and they would drip less if this shape was 7/8" or even 1" in diameter. I just can't find the perfect fit but for what it is it's pretty good hence the 4 stars. Here are a few tricks to get this thing working as intended. Before each watering, run a cotton swab with olive oil over the inside with a pencil, chopstick, or whatever. Skip it and the candle will stick. Walk a little on the base. If a little wax sticks to the mold, clean it before using again. Wax stuck to the inside of the mold makes it very difficult to remove the candle. Use a paper towel and white spirit or turpentine to clean the mold. I soaked a paper towel and soaked it in mineral spirits, moved it from end to end until the wax was removed, then ran the dry cotton paper towel back and forth, finally rinsed with water and dish soap, dried, and you're done. i will go again 30 minutes in shape is kind of a boost, I wait 45 before taking out the candle. If the candle doesn't cool evenly it has a slight bend, I carefully place mine on the stand so it cools evenly.
