My stepson went to college and practically let his bearded dragon die. I started feeding him (the dragon, not the stepson) but he wasn't socialized so he often hissed at me and initially didn't get the love and exercise he needed. We gave him this ball to run and exercise regularly, and as he got stronger (and happier!) he loved it even more. We even take him outside (very supervised) so he can go where he wants (unless the grass seems really hard). It's also great because the exercise helps him poop (we always keep an eye on that) so we can just clean the ball (before he rolls in it) and he doesn't have poop in his living space. He's not always relegated to the ball due to his love and movement, but he definitely gets more of both as he can be confident and active on this ball.
