These headphones are great for lap swimming! My opinion isn't based so much on the sound quality because I plan to use it in the water, but on the ability to swim to my knees with a wireless device capable of storing music. These headphones are literally the only ones I've found that can be used for both swimming and storing music. Any others that can be used for swimming must be connected via Bluetooth to the device storing the music. But Bluetooth doesn't work underwater! Anyhow, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the design of how they should normally fit on the ear is weird. They never fell off on jumps and turns either, but I use a cap which probably helps keep them in place. Battery life is great! The sound quality and volume are sufficient to wear underwater. The commands are easily accessible. Ambien sound works great. So I strongly advise swimmers to avoid wires!
