Decent performance but some issues

As a former restaurant owner and prolific home cook, I've tried so many blenders that I really would have to have them all to give it five stars. It's a mid-range consumer unit with numerous attachments included at no extra cost (there's a lot to be said for that). The Good: - has all the power needed to get the real mixing job done - great setup and functional splash screen - automatic digital timer - compact design, fits in a closet - relatively light weight so you don't have to strain your back when inserting it need to contort and out of the closet - attractive a style that looks expensive (in case you care) isn't so good: - damn loud. Much louder than a KitchenAid stand mixer and you can't have a conversation in the kitchen when it's running. The lightweight design, while easy to carry, is too light for the performance, and even with the suction cups, this thing still moved around the counter and I had to hold on to it. You might not be able to leave it unattended for that reason (which is a shame). Instructions in English were not properly translated and were generally lacking. In comparison, KitchenAid comes with a quick start guide and a detailed instruction manual, but this one doesn't. Initially I had trouble figuring out how to remove the bowl without instructions for example (turning counter-clockwise a lot). This mark embodies German with a German name when it does not. It seems like too much of a marketing gimmick to me and I don't really like that sort of thing. I don't need a company pretending to be German to make me think it's quality, but hey, I'm not everything. Overall, I think this blender is worth the current list price of around $200 with all accessories included. This is not a commercial level and not even an elite consumer class, but the price is exactly what it should be. If you rarely use a stand mixer but want it to work when you need it then this is a good buy.

Pros
  • Many are enough
Cons
  • Too stupid
