The idea of getting a telescope had always crossed my mind, but I just didn't know if it would be worth it and/or if I would even know how to use it since I don't think I touched the telescope from school (and I don't really know anything about astronomy or telescopes.) But we have a great view of the sky from our balcony, especially at night with all the stars! So I decided to go ahead and give this guy a chance. Especially considering the quarantine and everything that was stuck inside, it really was the perfect time. When it arrived I read and followed the instructions, I also watched a few YouTube videos to understand how everything works and what all the parts were eaten for. I did a little research, played with it all day, practiced zooming and focusing on trees and things. And then BAMM! Today was a strawberry moon, I was so overjoyed that when I grabbed the telescope to focus it, I almost sent it down three stories from my balcony. π€¦ββοΈ BUT! Please! I took some pretty cool shots of the Strawberry Moon! Hooray! I will say that practicing with the telescope throughout the day and getting to know how it works really helped a lot because as soon as the moon appeared I was able to find it straight away, zoom in, focus and then just write on the back! (Just don't point your telescope at the trees next to your neighbors. Because if you do, they'll give you dirty looks. π€£) Also, the pictures aren't true! The in person view through a telescope is much nicer and there is so much detail that the camera just didn't catch! π
