I bought these shoes for my elderly mother who has foot and ankle problems. The shoes she wore didn't always work with the ankle brace she wore and over time she became too loose and she lost the arch support she needed or they slipped off her leg and she felt unstable in them. I found these shoes and bought them for her and she LOVES them. Wears them all the time. She says her feet and ankles rarely hurt at the end of the day now because she has support throughout the day. If her legs are swollen during the day, she can adjust the straps, if less swollen, she can adjust the straps. She really likes these shoes!
