I liked the packaging and presentation of the goods. The instruction manual was easy to understand and I was able to start weighing in just a few minutes. Mine came with batteries and only needed a hanging hook/u-bolt attached to the weight to be fully functional. I ride at a local state park that draws large crowds, from serious riders and riders to kids and families just looking to have fun. I threw a rope at a tree in the park (the tree wasn't damaged) and offered to weigh people's bikes or gear for free. It was a real crowd puller! The kids enjoyed guessing how much the bike might weigh before we got the results. My best "serious" rider wanted to weigh the bike, protective gear and wetsuit. After a day at the park, I hung it up in my shop to weigh everything from body armor to bikes and gear. I verified the results by weighing items and comparing them to other scales in the house, as well as weighing 5 pound and 25 pound dumbbells. Outstanding accuracy. It's good to know that your backpack weighs ## pounds and that bike you thought was light actually weighs more. I follow the manufacturer's recommendations and hang it in the garage, I don't hang any weight from the bottom of the unit. This allows me to switch it on at the push of a button and hang the lower hook and then lift the goods to be weighed onto the hook. I have found that some items require a long (48 inch) zip tie to provide a point to hook the item. Get creative and you'll find yourself wanting to know the weight of all kinds of objects. The sleeve/box it came in is also a good storage box. I would recommend it to everyone.
