Review on 🐾 Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro: The Ultimate Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop for Hard Floors and Area Rugs" by Shane Yay

I had high hopes. Best in Power Tools

I live in a house with multiple cats and dark wood floors throughout. My typical cleaning routine was vacuuming with the robot during the week, then by hand at the weekend, and then with a steam mop. Very long, but it worked. When my steam mop died I saw this product and thought it would be great to cut my time in half. Unfortunately, I'm really not a fan. The vacuum suction is great, but I've used it 3 times now and found I'm getting streaks of dirty water less than halfway through the cleaning. I've tried stopping and emptying this chamber (although it's not full) and rinsing the brush with water in the bowl as recommended, but then go back a few minutes and it happens again. I also have to scrape tangled wet hair and dirt off the bottom of the broom several times during the cleaning process. And this only cleans my open kitchen/living room/dining room, not the whole house. In addition, because there is a chamber that collects both liquid and dry dirt, it is very difficult to clean. I had trash and hair mixed with dirty water and had to use my hands to clean it all up. Pour it down the sink seems gross to me but the alternative is the toilet or outside so I poured the same amount of liquid down the sink and then the wet solids into the bin and then sanitized the sink. I think a separate liquid/solids chamber would be ideal, but I'm not sure this can be designed! I feel like I can't return it since I've used it, so I'm planning on using the vacuum part of it and then just wiping it down with a steam mop like before. That's a great premise, but doesn't really work for me. UPDATE: I've been using this for another month already and I'm still not happy. I thought it might not be for cat houses but I've seen other reviews where it works for cats. I feel like the small amount of dirt on the floor at the bottom of the vacuum gets wet and sticky (like the dirt), so I have to stop every 5-10 minutes and grab a paper towel to scrape off the wet clumps. Hair mixed with some feces. And I get muddy streaks of water on the bottom right away so it doesn't look like it's going to clog after a while of use. This happens with washed parts/brush and empty bin. Maybe mine is defective, so I'll call. It is very inconvenient to spend an hour or two cleaning and then the floors get splashed with dirty water.
