Review on PAC AmpPRO 4 AP4-CH21 Amplifier Interface Replacement for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Vehicles (2007-2017) by David Guliford

If this looks too good to be true, it is.

Installed on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler with 430N ECU and Premium Alpine Sound (keeping the factory amp). The noise level at the analog outputs was high. I could hear the speakers hiss even with the engine running, the sound you get when you crank the gain on the amp too high. At first I thought it was because "the minimum volume is too high". I calibrated the minimum volume per the instructions and although the volume was adjusted, the speaker noise remained the same. I have checked the amp with other sources and they have confirmed that the problem is with the Amppro4. To top it off, the unit transmitted ENGINE NOISE through the RCA outputs! Rise and fall with a speedometer. I've tried emailing the PAC hoping for more troubleshooting help, but haven't received a response. I really wanted this block to work. I was hoping that maybe I missed a step in the installation, but actually I haven't. Connect the T-harness behind the main unit, connect the other connector to the Amppro4. However, it kept all the factory settings - navigation tips, volume, quirks, equalizer, balance. Really met my expectations with this device. Will return Ampro4.
