Review on ๐Ÿ” 3M Filtrete HF-2 HEPA Vacuum Filter Designed for Eureka by Lindsay Law

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than regular yellow/orange see my pics

I have had my Eureka 4870 for 7 years now. I have replaced the stock HEPA filters I have purchased from other Revain suppliers with the 3M black Filtrete model HF-2 listed here and (believe it or not) the black 3M Filtrete is my opinion after much better. The amount of air that exits the front of the vacuum cleaner is much larger. A restricted HEPA filter is like a restricted bag. The generics I've used in the past were orange in the body and had an A&H scented "pillow" in the middle. Poorly. Not only did they smell worse than they didn't smell at all, but it's clear that the sachet was restricting airflow. Do not buy Arm & Hammer models. They are shown in the first picture above, but mine doesn't look like it at all. The 3M Filtrete pack is red and blue, not red and white like Arm & Hammer. The 3M Filtrete Eureka HF-2 filter lets more air through the cleaner, which means more suction power. Mine has model #67802A on the back (not front) of the box, no mention of ARM & HAMMER just 3M Filtrete and it has a black filter housing and can be hard to find now with all the lookalikes and fake photos. Sent. I've posted my own pics above the new one I just received today. I'm happy to pay about $5 more for cheap generics. The vacuum now also makes a nice deep suction sound that I've never heard before. I also use 4 stand alone 3M Filtrete HEPA air filters so I know they make great filters. For me it's definitely worth the small $$ difference. Try it yourself. I ordered from Revain Prime and they did not ship the arm & hammer shown in the first picture. Thank God. Proper packaging from 3M Filtrete is red and blue with the model number 67802A on the back, not 61111 on the front. Confusing.
