I'll come back to voice output. This is a professional quality microphone that works great on Linux. I have a deeper voice and it suits me perfectly. I first bought the Scarlett Solo with the intention of buying an AT 2020 but found it didn't support Linux. I then settled on the USB version after reading customer reviews and am very pleased with the studio quality sound from this mic. To my ears, it sounds a lot better than the mics that cost twice as much.
