I think we've finally found a system that's as obsessively organized as our daughter! (although its main feature is in fact the level of protection it offers). What I liked about this case when I first saw it is that it's virtually indestructible and offers lots of extras and options for different configurations. In a matter of minutes she spotted a dozen features I hadn't noticed. The Gator bag is a hard shell with a removable, padded inner shell and a waterproof polyester outer shell. (It also has a separate rain cover.) The interior has a Velcro lining and 5 padded panels for storing your camera, lenses, flash and accessories. There are colored Velcro tabs for easy cable identification, multiple exterior zippered pockets (large and small), and a padded interior pocket for a laptop or tablet. It has a number of features I've never seen before such as: B. (Removable) straps to keep the case open, as well as straps to secure your gear with a secure closure and quick release buckle. External zips have double loops for securing case and a transparent ID panel. Everything looks very well made with great attention to detail. It's a great system to keep you organized and protect your gear. We live in Hawaii so it's always kind of an ordeal when we travel, usually with multiple flights. I have a few smaller hard cases for things I need to carry and want to be in good condition when I arrive. Serious amateur photographer, winner of two awards from the Landesfonds für Kultur und Kunst. All her gear is carefully chosen and she has good gear. She now has a good system that keeps her organized and protected so she can take her good gear with her when she travels. We are both very impressed with the design and quality. She described it as very well designed. It's well thought out and adaptable enough to fit almost anyone. My daughter said her only complaint was the weight. This isn't an everyday bag, but it's great for travel or use in demanding environments.
