First, thank God, these shoes are in fashion now. I see them everywhere and this is a fashionable example of those "driving loafers" or pumps. "Ride" refers to the shape of the heel. It lengthens slightly to allow the shoe to swing back and forth across the floorboard. I suppose they are good for driving, but that's not a problem with other shoes. Some have leather-embedded soles, but they have a simpler, thicker rubber outsole. The white looks sharp against the leather, and the stitching, that silly red flap, the leather details all look classy yet casual. You can't beat them for comfort. They are more comfortable than my slippers. The midsole is thick, supportive, yet soft. Walking on uneven ground in my park is not a problem as the shoes do not slip. There needs to be some sort of elastic element where the top of the boot meets the foot. They fit perfectly. I usually wear regular 9.5w or 10w running shoes and I have regular 10w running shoes. But the best thing about these shoes is their inherent reliable quality. They feel like a solid piece, well made from good materials. There is no doubt that a well-made pair of shoes.
