Nice dress. Not sure about the sleeves

I like this style of fit and flare dress. I used to wear more straight dresses, but my figure has changed somehow as I have gotten older and I don't have as much of a defined waistline anymore. I guess I am moving from hourglass to apple. The good part is that my thighs are thinner than they have ever been in my life (but my middle is not.) Anyway, I have moved more to things with belts and fit and flare items. They seem to help define a better silhouette for me.This dress does that. The seaming (I think it is called princess seaming) helps the garment sit closer to your body on top. So it is a little clingier there. If you have trouble with this area, you may want to consider a size up. The skirt is more flowy so different sizes shouldn't have trouble here. And it does have a little stretch to it, so it helps with sizing. I wouldn't call it "stretchy" but it does move a little. I have a similarly-shaped, sleeveless dress like this an always get compliments on it. I thought I would like this one just as much, but somehow I am not crazy about the fluttery sleeves. I sort of wish they were just plain sleeves as the bottom of the dress already has some flowiness. That is just my preference though, not a fault with the dress.I got mine in my regular size. I got an L and am 5'8" about 165# and it fits me well. I have a 38C bra and the bust fit is fine for me, but I can't say how this would fit with a larger chest. It does say to hand wash this, but I don't bother with that. I just put it in one of those mesh laundry bags (to avoid any snags from other items) and wash it in the machine in cold. Then hang to dry. It is fine that way. It is the type of fabric that can snag easily. So if you have say, a purse with a rougher strap (or chain strap), or end up on some theater or church seat that has scratchy edges, be careful with snagging.Overall it is a very nice dress. It is dressy enough for more formal wear (like a wedding or something) but isn't too structured that you couldn't wear it more casually.
