It works as intended and a lot cheaper than the name brand switches. However, this is not a casual diy, if you do not understand how your current 3 way switch works then don't bother trying to hook this up yourself. This is not a simple remove the wires from your current switch and connect to this switch. You will need to combine some wires which makes it important that you know which wire runs to your lights and which are the runner wires between the main switch and the auxiliary switch. If you do not know this info , you will need help or hire someone to hook it up. But if you can afford to hire someone to hook this up then you may be better off buying the name brand switches also. The only functional issue with this 3 way switch is that the auxiliary switch may take up to 3 seconds before the light will turn on after motion is detected. The main switch turns on the light immediately if it detects motion. I believe it's because the auxiliary switch has to tell the main switch to turn on the light but there is a delay in processing the info.
