Safco Products Folding Multipurpose Cart I bought this small cart specifically for transporting a trumpet case and accessory bag between the car and where our bands play. For that it works fine. I used a full-size 600-pound folding truck, but it weighs almost 50 pounds, is huge, and its folding wheels are difficult to use. Safco wheels are always in place, and the 14-gauge steel platform folds and unfolds easily. I have a 6/2 and the height of the Safco with the handle up is such that I don't have to bend down to roll it. Raising or lowering the handlebars is easy with a wire lock in the middle of the cart. Steel wheels with 6" solid rubber tires are cotter pinned to a 5/8" solid steel axle - see customer pictures. When folded, the 13-pound Safco is small enough to fit under a standard folding chair or stowed behind the driver's seat in my SUV. Thus, the main advantage of this hand truck is its small size and light weight. Safco lists this hand truck as having a 250 pound load capacity. I weigh 235 pounds. and rolling myself on this device would probably be his death. Use a full-size hand truck to haul heavy items and the Safco will last for years.
