There are many French presses at Revain that look just like this one. I chose this model because of the positive reviews and the very reasonable price. The glass model was dropped due to many reviews describing how easy they are to break. I also have an OXO Barista Brain which I really like (I use a permanent gold mesh filter). I grind my own beans and use the same beans in both pots along with national brand decaffeinated ground coffee. The French Press really brews an excellent cup of coffee. The flavor is full with no bitterness or acidity, and even cheap decaf tastes great. I really like French press coffee with desserts. The price is so affordable for this pot that you would go insane if you didn't try it.
