Very easy to install. After you have completely drained and dried the gray tank, leave the lid on overnight. simply remove the old one and apply some petroleum jelly around the seals as a lubricant to seal better, screw on with the screws provided and you're done! I usually pour some water down the gray tank drain and leave it overnight just to make sure it seals properly and you're done! Wearing disposable gloves might be preferable if you have some on hand, but then again it's not eau de toilette or anything like that.
