Upgrade to 1 star. First perfect day of riding and this morning I got on the bike and found it stopped working. I thought it would be the perfect addition to my bike. Although I had problems with a dead battery after installation. It was starting to get cold so I just assumed the battery was dead and let the bike charge when not in use. Eventually the battery died and I had to replace it. This USB doesn't have an indicator light or anything that should be drawing power when nothing is plugged into it, but when I installed a new battery this afternoon when I connected the positive lead from this charger to the battery there was a distinct spark which indicates, that it consumes electricity. I suppose I can hook up a switch because I don't want to add one to the wiring harness for the switchable 12V on the bike. Battery drain aside, I'm happy with its performance while driving and use it to power my phone.
