I bought a stand because my previous one was attached and not high enough. The stand is well made and very durable. I have a MacBook Pro but I'm sure it can handle a much heavier computer. I ordered this stand in space gray which matches my laptop perfectly. In order to keep my laptop on while I'm typing, the product has to apply pressure to change the settings. I prefer that to a laptop that crashes when I press the keyboard. I use this stand all day, today I observed something while I was folding laundry in my bedroom while working at my desk and attending a webinar. Highly recommended for improving posture.
