Review on MFP inkjet Epson L3150, color, A4, black by Mateusz Gsiewski ᠌

A completely ordinary product, nothing remarkable.

In order for photos to be printed at least somehow more or less tolerably, you need to select Epson Mate paper, high quality, Adobe RGB color correction mode, gamma 1.8. You need to play with the rest of the settings. Depends on paper, paint and, probably, on a specific copy. It is better not to turn up the brightness - you will lose details in bright areas. Instead, it is better to reduce Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. I got the following settings for Lomond Glossy 230g paper: Brightness 5, Saturation 5, Cyan -10, Magenta -20, Yellow -15. Without this, it prints badly even on native paper with native paints. I didn’t find color correction settings in the phone application (maybe I didn’t search well). So you won't be able to print pictures from your phone. The device requires finishing with a file, although the problem could be solved by ating the driver or firmware. Until that happens, I can't recommend it. Unless you are going to print photos.

Pros
  • Profitability. I printed more than a hundred rather dark 10x15 photos, the ink level decreased by less than a quarter. The ink is cheap. It's easy to refuel. There is wi-fi.
Cons
  • I understand that this is not a photo printer, but why does it print such dark photos? This is a purely software jamb, but the manufacturer does not seem to be going to fix it. You have to treat yourself as much as possible. Leaves a trail of rollers on glossy paper.
