My mother-in-law has the same blender and I bought it because the blending power was much higher than the Cuisinart I had. I rarely use the blender, but when I need it, I really need it. Unfortunately, while this blender has a lot of mixing power, it didn't last long. It started smelling like it burned down on the 2nd when I mixed up some peanut butter and soft cream cheese for a no-bake cheesecake for my birthday. It can't be that this blender burned out on soft cream cheese and natural peanut butter, but when I used it again today, it still smelled like burning wire/plastic, so it's gone. I am extremely disappointed. I will also say that this week the back door of a small container that simply clips to the bottom of the blender fell off. Apparently the damn thing decided to self-destruct about a year after buying it. So today I'm going to look around for a new, better blender.
